More than 200 CWA members participated in CWA's National Civil Rights & Equity Conference in April 2008. Participants heard from prominent civil rights activists and participated in panel discussions and workshops challenging them to more fully integrate civil rights issues with the union's core work of organizing, political activism and representation. The theme to this year's conference was "A Movement....Not a Moment."
