More than 400 CWA members attended the 2008 Legislative Conference which focused on the union's four major goals: passage of the Employee Free Choice Act, affordable health care, jobs and fair trade policies, and retirement security. Delegates heard from presidential candidates Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama, visited lawmakers' offices on Capitol Hill and discussed top legislative priorities.
CWA local union activists from California took their message of passing the Employee Free Choice Act to the office of Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA).
